Free foam grade is the standard choice wherever lightweight handling, clean cutting, and direct-print capability matter most.
Rigid sign faces, estate agency boards, directional signs, and fascia panels. Lightweight and weatherproof.
Preferred flatbed UV and eco-solvent printing substrate. No primer needed. Consistent ink adhesion across large sheets.
Retail display boards, shelf wobblers, countertop stands, and promotional panels. Cuts cleanly with CNC router.
Exhibition backdrop panels, booth walls, and modular display systems. Lightweight = lower transport cost.
Partition panels, false ceilings, bathroom wall cladding, and clean-room panels. Waterproof and formaldehyde-free.
Scale model components, mock-ups, and display architecture. Easy to score, cut, and bond with PVC cement.
Free foam PVC board is an expanded PVC sheet produced by extruding PVC compound with a chemical foaming agent. The process creates a uniform closed-cell foam structure throughout the entire thickness. Unlike co-extruded Celuka board, there is no distinct skin layer — the density is consistent from face to face at 0.40–0.55 g/cm³. This makes it lighter than Celuka and gives a print-compatible surface without primer.
Yes. Free foam PVC board accepts UV-cured, solvent-based, and eco-solvent large-format inks directly. The surface energy of free foam PVC is compatible with standard printing inks, so no primer or surface treatment is needed. It is the preferred substrate for flatbed UV printers and roll-to-roll eco-solvent machines in the advertising industry.
JINYOU supplies free foam PVC board from 1mm to 25mm. Common stock thicknesses: 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 10, 12, 15, 18, 20, and 25mm. The 3mm and 5mm sizes account for the majority of advertising and signage applications. Custom thicknesses within this range are available for large orders.
Free foam PVC board has a uniform foam structure and density 0.40–0.55 g/cm³ — approximately 20–30% lighter than Celuka. Celuka board (co-extruded) has a dense PVC skin co-extruded over a foam core, giving higher surface hardness, better screw-holding, and scratch resistance. Free foam is the choice for printing and signage; Celuka is the choice for furniture, cabinetry, and marine interiors.
Forex (3A Composites) and Sintra (Palram) are trade names for free foam expanded PVC sold at European brand premiums. JINYOU manufactures a direct equivalent with comparable density (0.40–0.55 g/cm³), closed-cell structure, and print surface quality at factory-direct pricing from China. Free samples and third-party test reports are available on request.
Standard MOQ is 1,000 m² for stock colors. Trial orders from 200 m² are accepted. Stock items ship within 5–7 business days from our Xiaoshan factory. Custom color or custom thickness orders take 15–25 business days. Sea freight from Ningbo to the Middle East is approximately 20 days; to Europe approximately 30 days.
