Marine cabinet material candidate

PVDF WPC Board System for Marine and Yacht Cabinets

JINYOU can coordinate a PVDF-faced WPC/PVC composite board system for evaluation in yacht galley, cockpit wet-bar and boat storage cabinets. Salt air, sea spray, humidity, UV, edges, cut-outs, adhesive bonds and hardware corrosion must be validated as a complete assembly. This page does not claim marine certification.

PVDF + PUR + WPC/PVC

Annotated board system

A marine cabinet combines the decorative face, adhesive, core, edge treatment, machined openings, fasteners and metal hardware. The buyer should define the exposure zone and acceptance test before production samples are approved.

Treat marine cabinetry as an assembly, not a single panel

RFQ checklist

  • Intended area: enclosed galley, cockpit wet bar or storage
  • Actual UV, humidity, sea-spray and cleaning exposure
  • Panel size, density, weight and screw-holding target
  • Sealed edges, penetrations and service cut-outs
  • Hardware grade and corrosion-resistance requirement defined by buyer

Full-system validation

  • UV/weathering and color-retention evaluation for exposed surfaces
  • Humidity, water and dimensional-stability cycling
  • Film peel, PUR bond and edge-seal inspection
  • Fixing pull-out and repeated door-cycle checks
  • Buyer-specified corrosion test for metallic hardware; salt spray does not predict cabinet service life by itself

Evidence boundary

This is an application candidate under evaluation, not a marine-certified panel or finished cabinet. No salt-spray class, service life, waterproof rating, corrosion grade or warranty is claimed without a buyer-approved construction and written test evidence.

FAQ

Buyer questions

Is this board already marine certified?

No. The proposed construction requires project-specific validation. Certification and performance statements need evidence for the exact finished assembly.

Is PVDF film alone enough for a boat cabinet?

No. Film selection is only one part. PUR bonding, sealed edges and cut-outs, dimensional stability, fastener retention and hardware corrosion also matter.

What information is needed for a marine sample?

Define the vessel area, direct or sheltered exposure, cabinet drawing, weight target, finish, hardware, cleaning conditions and test plan.
